The Baby Owner's Manual

I read manuals like crazy. I love the succinct and complete (sometimes) information that you get in them. They have pictures that tell you how to do things and they have operating instructions and cautions (so that you don't take your new DVD player into the bathtub with you etc.)

So today when I got a new book from the Groots all my dreams came true. It's called "The baby owner's manual". It is a beautiful thing. It teaches me, the dad, "operating instructions, trouble-shooting tips, and advice on first-year maintenance".

So I'll give you a taste of the flavor of the book, (it read's like a computer manual, which is good for guys like me). "Caution: Never leave the baby unattended on the changing station (docking bay). This may lead to serious injury and/or malfunction."

How Max is doing...
Max is doing great. He's eating and needing to be changed about every 3 hours. Pretty much like clockwork. Ryan is taking the late night shift and Erica is doing early mornings. It's a pretty good system. We are still trying to figure out the best way to change his diapers. We have found that to be the most challenging part of the whole baby thing. He's kind of like a grenade that has it's pin pulled every time we take off that little diaper. If you are a jedi master trained in the ways of the force of defusing a little baby bomb on the changing table, give us a call ;).

Max is a happy baby. If he's fed and changed he is loving life. He only cries when he's hungry or dirty. And he and Dora are getting along well. Dora loves him.

We took him shopping for the first time today to get a couple of things. He did great and he even let us get some lunch ;).
